Building the Gazebo
Around five years ago I had a cement pad pourd in the back yard to have a Gazebo. We bought a store model, and it lasted a couple of years, but once the fabric was shot it was not possible to replace it. I have thought about building a real one for a long time and have had a vision of what I wanted. Well, here are some shots of the last three days of progress. Putting the little "anchors" in the concrete was a tough job not only in terms of screwing them in, but also measuring where they needed to be so that all worked out right. Josh helped me figure it out. On the second day, Josh helped with putting in the posts, rafters, and corner braces. On the third day I managed to get 6 of the eight roof sections mostly completed by myself. (I sure hope Josh will help tomorrow.)
