With our Friend Linda and Her Family
The main reason to go to McGregor, TX was to re-connect with our dear friend Linda Pinkstaff who worked with me at Scott Air Force Base Hospital about 28 years ago. We had a nice time with her at her home, she made us lunch, and we went to her grandson "Drew's" basket ball game. We met daughter-in-law Kristen, and grandaughter Ashley. Drew just turned 7 yesterday, Ashley will be 2 in April. The game was good. We ended the day with dinner and re-hashing old times together. It was a great stop in middle Texas.
Crawford, TX (The Home of George W. Bush)
Since we were so close to Crawford, we had to explore and see if we could drop in on George. I don't think he was home, but we did get to approach the gate, and we did see the town. Cindy Sheehan is no longer camped at his gate protesting the war in Iraq, so we missed seeing her also. The picture of the deer are on the property that Linda's son David is going to build his house on.
