Some Pay a Heavy Price

Here are some shots of the after effects of a major smash-up. The guy riding the crotch rocket was air vacked to the hospital still alive, and I don't know if he made it or not. He hit the rail so hard and so fast that he broke the bike in half. It was scattered on b oth sides of the road.

High in the Mountains

Ruby Falls & Lookout Mountain

After the meeting in Memphis, we continued to Chattanooga to meet my cousin Wayne and continue on to Ruby Falls, Lookout Mountain, and The Tail of the Dragon. Ruby falls in a 200 ft. water fall that is 1,600 feet under ground in the cave. Lookout Mountain is the tallest point in the Smokey's, and The Tail of the Dragon is a section of road that has 318 turns in 11 miles of road. This whole area is a bikers' paradise! We had a great time, enjoy the pics.

Tour Nebraska

Nickie and I participated in Tour Nebraska. This is a 600 mile traveling car show. We travel 300 miles each day on a Saturday and Sunday. We go through a lot of small towns, and stop for breaks and lunch. Nickie had fun throwing candy at the kids that were stationed to see all of the Hot Rods and Custom cars. There were more than 250 cars in the parade. The cars in the picture are my nephew's 73 Nova, and my 33 Ford. i looked at the back side of him for a few hundred miles.

Biking to Graceland

My brother Jerry, and his friend Dick met me in Memphis Tennessee. We visited BB King's (A bar and resturant on Beal street),and Graceland (the home of the late Elvis Presley). It just happened to be "Bike Night" on Beal street, and we left our bikes at the hotel and rode a taxi. (bummer) We had a good time. Enjoy the shots.

Samantha's Wedding

We had the pleasure of attending Chris and Samantha's wedding in Hattiesburg Mississippi,and it was cool. They held it at the Amtrak station, and it really turned out well. They planned and paid for the whole thing and I was very proud of them for the wonderful job they did, and the solid plan that they have for their future. They are a great couple of kids.

Kentucky Speedway

One of the highlights while in Kentucky was driving the Nascars! This was Joshua's graduation gift. He, Mike, and i each drove our own car and reached speeds of as much as 150 miles per hour. We went 30 laps of the track. It was an awesome experience. The Richard Petty driving school calls it the "experience of a lifetime" and they are right. Summer Starr rode in a car with a professional female driver, and she went 165 mph! I drove car #11 FedEx Express. Hope you enjoy the pics.
