More fun on Lewis & Clark Lake
We enjoyed the company of two sets of twins, Dons daughters, Cidney and Cassidy and his nephews Joshua and Brandon. Nickie and I even went to the beach AND into the water. The kids had a great time tubing until we got rained out. Each night we sat around the camp fire and had a good time together with much of Don's family and friends.
I have to tell you an interesting side note. One of the ladies that is a coworker of Amy's sister is married to a Thai man named Troy (chosen American name). Nickie met him, they began to talk, and it turns out that he is from the village "Prai" where she grew up, and was very good friends with her aunt!! She called her aunt and they talked about old times. IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL!!

The Adventure of the "Old House" Continues
Josh and I are still in the process of converting a "dump into a palace". (Or at least a liveable house.) haha Here is a picture of the new Central Air unit that will make the place more bearable. We have also gutted the entry in hopes to make it a little more inviting on the first impression. The new powder room is plummed, electrified, and ready for drywall and a door. The main plumbing in the basement is done and ready to feed the new fixtures and drains upstairs. The kitchen is gutted and awaits drywall, cabinets, counters and appliances. We are in a pinch to get itall done and ready to move into by Aug. 1. Pray that we make it. There is still a lot to do.

Tour Nebraska - 2010
Each year we try to go on "Tour Nebraska". This is a 600 mile road trip in cars that are 30 years old or older. This year there were 276 cars and 500+ people participating. We met in Kearney, traveled 300 miles on Saturnay to places like Callaway, Arnold, Brewster, Burwell, Ord, and back to Kearney. On Sunday we traveled south to Lexington, Arapahoe, (Norton, Kansas), Alma, Minden, and ended in Sutton. This is a very fun run, and the pictures tell the storey. We have a drivers meeting each morning. We take off in two teams, and try to stay in fairley close formation. As we go through the small towns people come out to wave and greet us. Nickie throws candy at the kids. Here are some pics of the cars at the town square in Minden where we stopped for lunch on Sunday. It is a great way to get the hot rod warmed up. We enjoy the time cruizing together.
