The Clean-up Process Continues

Josh and I got the car off of the trailer and onto "Skates" in the garage so that we can continue with the clean-up process. We also had to take the lock out of the door so that we could get a key made. We got lucky, and the same key fits everything!! Hooray!!! Here are some pics of the painted parts, the engine, and the transmission. once the engine compartment and firewall are repainted we can start assembly. Our target is to have it running in April. You can see the little cardboard "paint booth" that we are using.

The Cleaning Process

We presure washed the car, and degreased the engine compartment. Josh is cleaning all of the components.

The Next Adventure

Not all adventures require a lot of travel to exotic places. Joshua and I have begun ad adventure of "reconstruction".. We will put this 1962 Chevrolet Impala back together and try to sell it. Here are some of the befor pictures. As you can see, the car is in parts. The engine and trans have been rebuilt, and the car was stored in a dusty shed for the past three years. It is pretty dirty, but in really good shape otherwise. We borrowed a trailer to get it home and started cleaning it right away.

A Quickie Trip for A Wedding

We took a weekend trip to Birmingham, Alabama to attend Stephanie and Steven's wedding. We drove down on Thurseday night and Friday, and traveled back on Sunday. It was a rough 1,800 mile turn-a-round. Josh and Caitlyn went with us, and Josh helped drive, Thank God! We probably won't do that trip again. Enjoy the pictures.
